1- What style inspires your interior design?
Joelle : ” I would describe my style as a mix between modern and vintage. I like old decorative objects combined with more modern pieces. My style can be compared to the modern farmhouse decor…”
2- What led you to create an Instagram account dedicated to home decor?
Joelle : ” At first, I had a style in mind and I wasn’t finding many inspirations of this kind in Quebec. So I decided to share my ideas and the images that I liked via my Instagram account @thefarmhousedream and my blog. I then started giving advice and it quickly escalated.”
3- How important are flowers and plants to you when it comes to decorating a space?
Joelle : ” Plants and flowers have such a big place when I decorate a room. They bring a warm and natural touch that I could not do without!”
4- What plants are in your top 3?
Joelle : ” My top 3 is without hesitation: ficus lyrata, olive tree and eucalyptus.”
5- Do you have a green thumb?
Joelle : ” I would love to admit that I have it… but no, I am a plant killer! That’s why I love the plants from Décors Véronneau so much. ”
6- What is your favorite trend in the world of plants?
Joelle : ” I love using different branches in a vase. I like to mix different colors and types of branches. Potted trees like ficus and olive trees are also two plants that I find timeless in any decor. “
7- What's the best trick you've learned for showcasing plants?
Joelle : ” Adding several small ones around the room makes a bigger impact than one larger plant.”
8- What is your favorite flower?
Joelle : ” My favorite flower is the hydrangea and I also have a big thing for the peony.”
9- What do you like best about Décors Véronneau's flowers and plants?
Joelle : ” I love Véronneau’s plants because they are realistic, easy to care for and there is a huge selection available! ”
10- According to you, what is the main advantage of the artificial?
Joelle : ” Ease of care for busy moms like me! Another benefit is that we can place them in any location we want. No need to worry about lighting. ”
11- What is your favorite season to decorate?
Joelle : ” I love to decorate year round! But I have a preference for fall decor. The warm colors, the branches, the throws and the fall candles.”
12- Which Décors Véronneau's plants or flowers do you have in mind for the next season?
Joelle : « I would love to have a big ficus tree ! »
