PVC (plastic)
Rigid and resistant material offering great dimensional stability and durability. Easy to cut and thermoform. PVC can be glued or cut. Available in various thicknesses.

Disadvantages
- Softer than acrylic
- Marks more easily than acrylic
Acrylic (plexiglass)
Hard, transparent, unbreakable plastic (plexiglass is firmer than PVC).. Available in various thicknesses.
Advantages
- Harder and firmer than PVC
- Transparent, tinted or opaque foil
- Can be used for 3D illuminated signs because of its transparency
- Product diversity (signs, counters, posters, pictogram, decorations)
- Indoor and outdoor use
Disadvantages
- Can scratch, sometimes fragile
- More expensive than PVC
Aluminium (metal)
Metal has many benefits. It is used in many fields. This success is due to its durability and rigidity. Gives an industrial look to the result.
Advantages
- Lightweight
- Malleable, foldable
- Sturdy and resistant
- Choice of metallic color according to PMS chart, matte or glossy available from supplier (spray gun can be used)
- Provides a modern, industrial look
- Indoor and outdoor use
Disadvantages
- Fewer colors available
- More expensive than PVC
Neon (LED)
Luminous tube using LED lights imitating traditional neon. For indoor use only.
Advantages
- Low heat emission
- Less expensive than real neon
- Choice of acrylic behind the tube (optional)
- Less heavy than neon
- Choice of spacing
- Tube thickness 6mm or 13 mm
- Choice of colors
- Electrical box smaller than neon (easy to hide)
- Option: controller for changing colors
Disadvantages
- Less vintage than real neon
- More expensive than a embedded logo without lighting
- 5 to 6 weeks of production
- For indoor use only
Glass neon (handmade)
Traditional neon glass and gas inside. Retro look. Handmade.
Advantages
- 80’s retro look
- Vibrant colors
- Durability over time
- Possibility of making a case over it to protect it
- Made and molded by hand by an artisan blower
- Possibility of installation by the supplier
Disadvantages
- Heavy and fragile
- Generates heat
- Acrylic (support required) behind the light tube
- Approx. 10 colors available (smaller selection)
- Can’t be handle
- Electrical box to hide and requires an electrician
- 5 to 6 weeks of production
Cut-out vinyl (self-adhesive film)
Flexible, transparent polyvinyl chloride film for printing. One side is coated with adhesive for installation on a smooth surface. Can also be used as a frosted film (window privacy). Must be glued by the supplier.

- Installation (sticks to) on windows, mirrors, vehicles and other flat materials
- Digital printing
- Inexpensive
- Indoor and outdoor use
Disadvantages
- Soft sticky material
- Must be installed on a hard surface
