Though it has the ability to make us feel as though you’re on summer holidays while being at home, seaside style decor is not so easy to adopt. The fine line that separates this look from looking like a visit to the museum is easy to cross.
The preferred color for this type of decor is blue, but you should consider using it in all its shades. Do not forget that blues marry well with pale grays and beige as well as with white. You will be reminded of the sand and avoid clichés. It’s up to you if you want to use a striped pattern. If using stripes, it’s important to avoid deep color contrasts. Many different fabrics and wallpaper models can also be used. For furniture, choose pale toned finishes. Natural and whitened woods integrate beautifully without overloading the space and leaves space for room accents.
Finally, use traditional decorative elements in moderation. Bet on a few carefully curated accessories. A wall filled with framed pictures of holiday memories will be much more appropriate than a mirror in the shape of a buoy. A custom creation in which sand and shells are integrated is also an interesting option. In terms of materials, note that flax and wicker are preferred. Happy shopping!
