Do you have a limited budget to redesign your living room or any other indoor space ? We’ve got you covered and the good news is, you won’t have to undertake major work to transform your space! Sometimes, a simple green plant and a few decorative accessories are all you need to brighten up a decor that needs a glow up. Here are 3 golden rules to recreate this living room decorated by our collaborator, the designer Becky Freeman.
Make a statement with large plants
To bring your space to life, adding an artificial plant in the corner of a room can be a great solution. With their multiple leaves, cannas, birds of paradise and rubber plants are some very good options. Large plants are a great addition to any home, whether they are used to enhance empty corners or to dress up boring walls. If you want to create an even greater visual impact, group several small plants together!
Use a variety of decorative accents
Getting a brighter and more welcoming decor also involves choosing decorative accents! Cushions are a must, to accessorize an armchair or a bench. As for throws, you can also use them to enhance a sofa that needs to be updated! Finish with a rug and some furniture decorated with statuettes, small flowers or potted plants. You don’t need to change your entire furniture, several small side tables are available on the market at very affordable prices.
Add softness with pampas grass
Even though pampas grasses have a neutral color, they still create a beautiful effect when added alone to a decorative vase, as Becky did so well in this living room. These stems create a beautiful vibe, while enhancing the coffee tables. As for vases, donut shapes are actually very popular right now. Add a few books to keep on hand for your visitors!
