Why choose us?
Fire-retardant plants are made of non-flammable elements that make them safe in the event of fire. We offer a range of certified artificial plants, trees, plant walls and moss mats, made from fire-retardant materials that reduce the spread of fire.

FIRESAFE certification
Our Firesafe® Foliage is recognized by ASTM-84 Standards with a Class A Rating against flame and smoke spread. Flame spread index of 5.
*Standard flame spread must be at least 25 or below to achieve Class A Rating.

Expertise
40 years' experience in artificial plants and flowers. Specialized supplier of fire-retardant foliage since 1980.

Lifetime warranty
IFR foliage offers a lifetime protection. Our fire-retardant plants pass National Fire Prevention Association 701 and ASTM E84-95 tests.

Range of products
We offer a wide range of fire-retardant products, including handmade trees, custom plant walls and a variety of foliage.
What is a fire-retardant plant?
Fire-retardant plants offer a protection in the event of fire, since they are made of non-flammable materials. This makes them the perfect solution for public places, where certain standards are much stricter and require this standard.
Advantages of fire-retardant plants:
- Comply with safety standards
- Provide peace of mind
- Reduce the risk of fire spread in public areas
Most common locations:
- Retirement homes
- Convention centers
- Restaurants
- Shopping malls
- Sports centers
- Clinics
- Schools
Glossary
Inherent fire-retardant vs. fire-retardant coating
Our inherent fire-retardant foliage is designed with fire-retardant materials, unlike foliage that is only sprayed with a fire-retardant coating. Here are the main differences:
Inherent fire-retardant foliage (Véronneau)
The only reliable, durable and effective method! Designed with inherent fire-retardant materials, i.e. materials that are non-flammable both inside and out. So it’s a fireproof product right from the design stage. What’s more, the foliage will remain fireproof for the entire life of the plant. Numerous tests have been carried out to guarantee the product’s reliability.
Fire-retardant coated foliage (competition)
Not designed with inherent fire-retardant materials. It is a material that has then been sprayed with a fire-retardant coating which is ineffective and unreliable, since it is applied only to the surface of a non-porous material such as plastic, and not to the inside of the product. It does not hold, may wash off, dissipate, drip or leave an oily or messy film.
How we build a fire-retardant plant wall:
- Large fire-retardant plywood panel as a base
- Black fire-retardant paint coating on the panel
- Fire-retardant artificial moss mats
- Addition of a fire-retardant plywood finishing frame, painted with fire-retardant paint (black or white)
- Fire-retardant artificial plants fixed with metal pins
Note on our fire-retardant trees: We use inherent fire-retardant foliage and natural wood trunks. The wooden trunks are treated with a fire-retardant spray. Since wood is a porous material, the coating is also found inside the trunk, guaranteeing reliable, inherent flame-retardant protection.
