What is a Christmas village ?
A Christmas village is a collection of miniature buildings which usually have a Christmas theme. The town can take a variety of forms, but typically centers around a church and a town square. Some villages may also include small shops, houses and other collections of buildings to create a more complete experience. For example, a general store, a train station or even Santa’s workshop.

Where to place your Christmas village ?
People usually start their Christmas village around the fireplace on the mantel, on top of a kitchen cabinet, a bookshelf, a windowsill or under the Christmas tree. The place you will choose will vary according to your preferences… if you have a smaller space, the fireplace or bookshelf areas might be the best options for you.
Creating your winter wonderland is just as easy as 1-2-3
1- Making your Christmas village base :
In order to create a magical and Christmas display, you will need to cover the desired surface with the snow carpet. To create some height and depth in your village, try to use some glass bowls upside down in order to use them as display stands. Place a string of lights distributed over the snow carpet surface.
2 - Adding your larger pieces :
To form your village, let’s begin by adding the major pieces (e.g: illuminated church, city hall or castle), around which you’re going to build the village around. This way it’s going to be easier to place your other buildings, houses and smallest figurines at the end.
3 - Complete with trees and holiday characters :
To bring joy and life to your winter wonderland, try to add small trees and winter scenes involving characters. It could be Santa Claus, some Christmas elves, or villagers. You’re done, just light up your Christmas lights and sprinkle some snowflakes as the final touch !
