Adapting your decor according to the seasons is certainly the best pleasure of interior design enthusiasts. They’re usually known for pinning inspirational images on Pinterest and finding fall home accents well ahead of time. So, just for them (and for everyone else over the next few weeks), here are the four types of artificial plants to choose from for the warmest autumn decor.

Get inspired by our 2023 fall collection:

1- Grasses, greenery... and the cattail plant!

To create a fall decor, we start by replacing the pampas grasses (which have had their moment of glory in recent years) with pretty green grasses or a cattail plant. Since they’re generally between 36″ and 48″ high, these are the perfect choices near the entrance bench, where your favorite throws and plaids will also be placed. Finally, disguise the plastic pots with traditional wicker baskets and match them to an entrance doormat.

2- Tropical plants with a fall flair

For a smooth transition into the new season, tropical plant lovers will be happy to learn that some of their favorite green plants are also available in darker foliage varieties. Just think of the dragon tree, cordyline fructicosa and calathea makoyana, which feature burgundy and dark green leaves. Going for these plants sets the tone for the rest of the space, which you’ll want to make cozier as the days grow shorter.

3- Ferns in all their forms

To bring nature into every room of the house, we can also opt for green ferns, the same ones (except they’re artificial!) we usually see on our walks in the forest. They’ll be particularly appropriate in the bathroom, as they’re plants that, when natural, appreciate humidity. This model can be adapted to all types of interiors; all you need to do is choose a planter that will match with the decor in which it will be placed.

4- Magnolias and olives tree, the classics

If you prefer the classic style, you’ll love our magnolia or olive tree, two timeless plants that have proved their worth in recent years and are available in a range of heights. As distinctive elements, these artificial trees will anchor your decor and give it presence. They are also excellent choices for furnishing any corner of the living room.

And what about fall flowers in all of that?

Once again this year, we’ll be seeing beautiful hydrangea flower bouquets, pretty compositions of magnolia branches and baskets overflowing with astilbe flowers. Thistles will also take part of fall decors, as will dried flowers such as dahlias, roses and wallflowers. Which ones will make it into a bouquet in your dining room?
