Taryn : \u201cI definitely couldn\u2019t chose just one style! I love so many different ones and for different reasons. I think I have a variation of styles throughout my home. Some new, some old, some inherited and of course many pieces I have created myself! So many of my pieces tell a story or hold a certain memory for me. I believe you should surround yourself with items you love and so that is exactly what I do!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

2- What led you to create an Instagram account dedicated to home decor? <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Taryn : \u201cI have loved all things home since I can remember! It all started when I was a little girl, I use to rearrange my room on a regular basis. I have always been a creative person into fashion, art and design (I went to school to get my degree in design). I have been a designer for quite a few years but when covid hit and I was stuck in my home for months, I really felt like I needed an outlet and I was already spending lots of time fixing up my home and thought why not start my page @tarynfalconerdesignstudio to share what I am doing. Not only did this become sort of a therapy for me but I realized people were enjoying my content and I was inspiring so many. Then along the way I made some wonderful friendships (with other accounts where we could share our love of home decor), we got each other ! As I grew I then have had the opportunity to work with some amazing brands. It ended up becoming so much more then I could ask for and I feel truly blessed!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Taryn : \u201cYes! My recent list is as follows :<\/em><\/p>\n

\u2022 Lighting: this is so important I am partial to using lamps and more mood lighting but it is always important to have good lighting in a space.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u2022 Accent rugs : this can completely transform a space and is a great way to bring in colour, pattern and also can help creative division from one space to the next.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u2022 Greenery (my favourite home accent) : it just brings a space to life!<\/em><\/p>\n

\u2022 Artwork : it really creates a fun and cozy environment.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Taryn : \u201cPlants and flowers are my favourite way to add an organic element to any space, not only are they beautiful but they can also add a pop of colour. 6- What's the best trick you've learned for showcasing plants?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Taryn : \u201cMy best trick is (buy an oversized decorative pot) then prop your plant up by using a little bucket or basket inside the oversized pot. Set your plant on top of that to give it some additional height. Then use packaging or paper and stuff all the gaps so that the plant doesn’t move around in your oversized decorative pot. Then take some cardboard and cut a piece to fit the top (place it around your plant) this will hold your topper. Then add your topper I like rocks, moss and soil.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Taryn : \u00ab I always choose what I like best (I try not to follow trends, as we all know they disappear as soon as they arrive) when selecting plants and flowers… I like to vary the styles (you don’t want to have a too uniform decor). I like to choose different heights and sizes when buying flowers and other decorative accents. \u00bb <\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Taryn : \u201cThe main advantage is, no maintenance needed whether you have a green thumb or not, they always look good!
